What is Mangal Dosha?

Mangal Affliction (also called Manglik or Kuja Dosha) arises when Mars occupies the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house from the Ascendant, Moon, or Venus. It is among the most scrutinized doshas in Vedic astrology, particularly for marriage compatibility.

How is it Formed?

Mars is a fiery, assertive Graha. In houses linked to partnership (especially the 7th), it can generate friction, delays, or friction in married life. Severity hinges on the exact house and whether cancellation (bhanga) conditions apply.
